Olivia Lanchester is an author advocate and intellectual property lawyer who was the CEO of the ASA from 2019 - 2024.
Olivia is experienced at advising authors and illustrators on all aspects of the publishing process, including publishing contracts, advocating for the protection of authors’ interests and liaising with industry organisations for better industry protocols. While CEO, she led the ASA's advocacy on copyright reform, unfair contracts and digital lending rights. Olivia has previously worked as an intellectual property lawyer in private practice and as a freelance editor. She is Chair of the government’s Public Lending Right Committee.
